Nice run to the finals by the US against a bunch of 3rd world countries. They did play a good first half against the Mexicans tonight, but once again, other than Pulisic, no one on the US is a game changer. As nice as Altidore played in the first half he blew his opportunity while Mexico buried theirs. That is the difference. Anyhow, let’s see how the next few years unfold. It looks like we’ll qualify for WC this time, but if we don’t focus on Weah and Sargeant and find a true playmaking midfielder ... we’ll be out in the group stages.

The game against Curacao was painful to watch. We got outpossesesed and outshot by Curacao.

If I paid to watch the team in a competitive match and had to watch 11 bench players instead, I'd boo too.
Has nothing to do with the skill of the team though.
They rested their best players, and got the result they wanted, and get to play Curacao next.
Let's face it, we haven't really learned a thing about the team yet....crushing T and T means nothing, and this past game means nothing either.
We'll see what happens in the semi-finals and, ideally, the finals.

I don't recall hearing any boos against our women's team in their game against Chile even though they did not play most of their starters. I agree that this team has not been tested in this tournament. Let's hope they get past Curacao.

Dude, their entire starting line-up was on the bench...chill out for goodness sake.

So you want to move him away from the position he's been playing so well in?

Yeah. I think he’d do even more damage as a 9 with Arriola and Boyd alongside him. It’s obvious.

Part of me is almost hoping we don’t get out of this group so we can fire Gregg and hire a proper coach, hopefully someone not related to USSF leadership. I’m still gonna root for them, still love our national team, but this is completely uninspiring.

6-0. I think they're Ok.

Yeah, if only we could play T&T every game.

No, we are not going to get a proper coach any time soon. Nepotism is alive and well at the USSF. The wins over weak CONCACAF opponents, like Guyana and T&T, give Berhalter enough cover.
