I also don't mind that parents who want to contribute to it can do so. If an affluent parent can pay for one bus for their kids, then they should also spring for one more bus in non-affluent schools too, so it is equitable and charitable. Maybe all PTAs should contribute and get this done for all school buses in MCPS?

It's a nice idea but would likely cost them 10x what its worth. They're better off focusing their efforts on how to better educate kids.
