He is healthy, eats well, exercises 4 nights a week. It just seems like the older we get that 12 beers a week will catch up. He doesn't get super drunk, but he also drinks beers like double IPAs, Belgium, Imperial Stouts so we're are talking 10% alcohol beers which makes it seem worse. Does anyone else have husband's that drink this much and should I be concerned? When I brink my concerns he says he will cut back if it starts hurting his health or causing weight gain.
how many bottles of wine do you drink per week?

As long as he stays under the "100 line" (for example, 14 drinks a day for each of 7 days would be 98 drinks and "under" the 100 line) he is good to go. More than that is OK, on special occasions, but probably not a good idea too often.
Are you for real? I can't drink 13glasses of water per day much less 13 beers! Or do you have a different definition of a drink?? If you drink that much booze please go to the hospital ASAP.
I meant one "Drink" is a bottle of beer, etc. Duh! Stay below 100 per week (maximum!)

But it would be fine to insist on a blood panel to see if he has liver damage (very unlikely given that he is fit- overweight people are more likely to have liver damage) if it makes you feel better.
More generally, tell him you have a problem with it and why- describe the effect it is having on you.
Wow nice conflation. Being overweight can cause fatty liver but alcohol abuse alone can do it and it doesnt matter I'd they are thin/fit or not. Let's not get people thinking 'oh as long as I stay slim I can drink as much as I want.' Severe alcoholism can even make you thinner b.c you stop eating.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Have you looked into whether he might be pouring or injecting miniatures of vodka, gin, etc. into the beers and Spiking it with hard liquor? That's what alcoholics do and he is an alcoholic. Thoughts?
I have never heard of anyone doing this ever.
Anonymous wrote:Then you are a fool. Many of the most crafty alcoholics find ways to increase the juiciness of the alcohol in their life by injecting it (the booze) into other types of alcohol, sometimes using an injectable hypodermic needle or a small eyedropper. That is what OP's hubby-man is doing and he's sneaky too. He wants to put that hooch into his "harmless" beer and that start flying high. What say you?
