Where did the disgruntled entire 2nd team end up moving to? Or what is the new team that was formed?

Just curious since I've seen this story repeated on this forum a number of times. I need closure lol

Talk about giving it a rest, what is your deal? She is moving to Arizona and will not be coaching any teams in the DMV. So why attack her? Get a life.

No she is not a good coach. Yells, be littles players, undermines confidence, ices out players(ie will not talk to them at practice), gives conflicting instructions in the same yelling fit, no communication with parents, stifles creativity, girls play to avoid mistakes, risk taking is punished, fosters a mean girl environment, kills a lot of girls love for the game, girls never smile, etc. This is for u9-u11 girls. This does appeal to some parents. Her teams play better when there is a guest coach. I know a lot of players and parents are happy she is moving on.

This is very untrue and this poster keeps posting the same false statements a many times against the coaches and parents You can search the forum and find the true story. . Several Fathers were upset last year - feeling that they could coach better than the female coaches and that their daughters were better than placed. They went off and formed their own team that could be “competitive” to “be prepared to play high school and college” as stated in their recruiting letter. They lectured the female bethesda coaches on how to play games more competitive at a U10 level.

The kids on the 2008 team are happy kids - and one can see that at games and practices BSC has a lot of great female coaches that many see as a benefit for their girls. It’s a shame someone feels the need to slander an individual coach and the team of coaches .

As always, anyone should observe a coach/ coaches at games, practices and make their own assessment. Not an anonymous forum.

Give it a f@cking rest Meggan is not a good coach. I have seen her(and heard her) at games and practice. I have seen the team when it is coached by a different coach. How has the team developed- what was the record in league play this fall, how many brackets did the team move down at the jeff cup(5 or 6)? I know what her reputation is outside of BSC. Obviously you do not.

So now you make up something about how it’s a gender thing? It’s a conspiracy against female coaches. LOL Really? So several misogynistic fathers got together, attacked Meggan’s coaching because she is a female, took the second team on BSC(a big established club) and formed new team? All because she is a female coach? Sure! She was not even the coach of that team. So why are you bring it up with regards to her as a coach? This has nothing to do with her gender but continue to make things up. Your conspiracy sounds a lot better vs reality. What do you think of the coach they just hired. You know he is a male...right? You can’t be too happy about that! So are you a parent on the 08 blue?

Do you know how many of those 08’s(blue) were at other clubs’ tryouts last year? Do you know how many parents were “very disappointed” to have her as a coach again? You most likely do not because you drink the kool aid. To tell you the truth, I think she was shown the door. Why was she removed as the age group coordinator and is the only coach leaving?

Also I have been around travel soccer for over 10 years. Travel players(really the parents at that age) do not follow one or two disgruntled parents out the door. Specially the second team on a big club at u11. Truthfully many will look on it as an opportunity for their DD to move up.

Isn't it a lesser ECNL team? What is the attraction, to have the ECNL label?

Please explain how all the local ECNL teams are going to field another team. Just leave them in EDP. The great dilution continues.

What's up with the ECNL 1 and ECNL 2 teams in the older age groups? Historically there has only been one per age group right? Are there going to be two divisions in ECNL next year?

yep

Only an issue for those U12 and under for regular season play. Roll the dice I guess?

U12 will be pre-ECNL and playing same schedule as the U13-U14 ECNL teams. As a result, they will not be playing on Muldoons.

thats assuming they make the top team of 4. the other teams are in EDP, NCSL, etc.

We've been at Bethesda for over a decade with various kids, and really haven't found the (always poor, but recently worse) Muldoon's situation to be an issue. Practices are almost always held on decent fields, so you are really only out there a few weekends a year. We have one kid who is now playing in college, and he remembers his early days at Muldoon's fondly. Whatever else, it's in a really pretty area and we always enjoyed the drive. I wish that Bethesda and Potomac didn't use it, Summerhill, or the Polo Grounds for tournaments though.
