I love listening to sad music. But for me it’s not necessarily that I want the lyrics to be sad, it more the de eling from the music itself. I call it melancholy music, and I have a playlist of it. Here are some of my favorites.

Don’t Cry - Guns N Roses
Never Tear Us Apart - INXS
Don’t Dream It’s Over - Crowded House
Ex Factor - Lauryn Hill
Lately - Stevie Wonder
Can’t Get You Off My Mind - Lenny Kravitz
Time after Time - Cindi Lauper
Your House - Alanis Morissette
Redemption Song - Bob Marley
Killing Me Softly - Roberta Flack (or Lauryn Hill)
Anytime - Brian McKnight

Yes! To me it's so lonely and reflective and makes me think of time moving on. The best is listening to it in the car at night on dark, out of they way, roads.

I have a tough time listening to this one knowing the back story about for whom it was written, his sons tragic accident. Beautiful song.
John Martyn does glorybox in a more raw sultry way I love: https://youtu.be/Vl9o8zGESe0

Real and honest. Silence at the end to ‘edit the sad parts’

Anyone old enough to remember the Smith's please please please let me get what I want?
