That Reston Target is totally ghetto. Every time I have been there, I have been panhandled. Avoid at all costs.

The Mosaic Target has been a disaster for years now. It's clear from the get go they do not have enough staff to keep up with demand and the shelves are always bare.

That said, the Target app tells you where things are (aisle numbers) and whether they are in stock. If I get to the spot and there is nothing there, I hunt down an employee to go in the back and get it for me.

The few times I have been to the Baileys Target I was amazed to see it so well stocked!

I’m the bandaid poster. It was at Mosaic. They entire aisle was empty. Not even a single generic brand. It was the last straw and I haven’t been back. Walmart isn’t great but it has more in stock than that target.

On the plus side, I am saving a lot more money now by not shopping there as often as I once did.

I feel like TJ Max’s is designed for women who don’t work FT. My mom always liked it and would go there to poke—if she didn’t find something, NbD and she’s go back again another day. I am wedging shopping in between FT work, commute, getting kids to soccer games, etc. I have an hour or two per month that can shop, so if the store isn’t going to have what I want, I will be pissed.

Omg, I looooovvve TJMaxx and Homegoods and I work 60 hours a week. Spending an hour in there on a Sunday afternoon makes me happy.

My problem with Target is the terrible clothing inventory. See something you like? Good luck finding it in anything other than XS or XL. Everything in between is sold out. It’s bad in stores and 100x worse on their website.

I know. And as my frustration mounted, I felt the same emotion in all the fellow shoppers as we were nearly bumping into one another, trying to find whatever we were looking for. Everyone was annoyed -- and wandering around ticked off.

I read an article from one of those business magazines. Apparently, when they were planning this layout change they were thinking of the TJMaxx model - low inventory that keeps getting replenished to spark a “hunt” and FOMO.

What the heck? Makes no sense. If I can’t find my shampoo, I will go elsewhere.

No thanks.

Oh god really? This is why I never go to tj maxx type stores. I don’t want to hunt. I want to grab my kids Easter shoes, dog food and soap and go.

Exactly. Did they really think this was a good idea when they are competing against online convenience?

Goodness. I thought the low inventory was a reflection on the business possibly struggling.
They has so few kids shoes now, which makes nonsense. Stride rite is gone. So is Payless... step up Target.
The home section is hard to navigate. I feel like I can’t see anything anymore.
They never have the sizes i need. I’ve stated to shop for my kid elsewhere.

So sad what my favorite store has become. And why?? They were at the top of the food chain - everyone loved Target. There was no reason for or them to turn into a low-budget Kmart wannabe. Really hope they reverse this horrible mistake.

Anonymous wrote: I normally shop at the Rockville target. Since they started the renovation I have been shopping more at Giant, Safeway, Walgreens and Harris Teeter. I went yesterday because I needed some things that I can only find at Target. I didn’t even bother trying to look, I just asked where things are located so I didn’t have to spend a huge amount of time hunting through the store. I personally do not understand their new organization of merchandise. I also dislike their impulse purchases in the middle of the aisle and how they’ve organized the clothing. I will have to say though, that I have never seen the Rockville store as a disaster. A disaster to me means looking like a bomb went off (clothing off hangers and all over the floor and other items off the shelf and on the floor). I don’t consider no baskets inside a disaster, I just consider that lazy employees. Like I said though, the layout no longer seems intuitive and I don’t have the time or the desire to peruse the isles.

None of the employees know where anything is either - asking an employee just delays your escape from Target.

Oh wow! I totally missed the part where op said she spoke with the store manager! How is that possible? Please bold the part where op said she spoke to the manager, I can’t seem to find it!

NP. This was meant as a joke, to include PP who mentioned that she'd have to get a new hairstyle, before complaining.

There's a meme/I need to speak to your manager/ and the woman always has a Kate Gosselin spiky early 2000s hairstyle.

Haha lol! I see. There’s a very annoying poster on dcum that responds to posts about medical/child development/school related concern posts with “what did the pediatrician/therapist/teacher say when you asked them about this?”. It’s very condescending and annoying. I assumed that was what this pp was doing.

DP. I thought the same thing when I read that comment and I know exactly the poster you're referring to! So prissy and self-righteous.

Thank you! Glad I’m not the only one, haha!
