Silver Spring is a weird mix between a dump and an outdoor outlet mall. Takoma Park is old and moldy, Bethesda is too commercial and just yuck, Clarendon used to be very cool but now is like millenial warehouse, Alexandria is too historic, Crystal City is underground, Rockville is a strip of big box stores with filled with soccer parents, Tysons is a mall on steroids...
Maryland people try so hard to feel good about themselves with their lame comparisons and never manage to pull it off.
You are a virginia person? you want to propose a virginia suburb that is cooler? free free to make your case
Pimmit Hills, obviously.

Arlington is a dump too, and I live here.
2 very similar houses, similar distance to DC. Separated by over $400,000.

The district heights house is actually nicer.
Only thing you can say is the elementary in VA is better by 4 BS-GS points, and high school is better by 1 BS-GS point. Middle school is the same.
We have so much over inflated dumpy stock. But we have a crate and barrel so all is well. Right?

Anonymous wrote:Yes, I agree. I worked there for a few years and many restaurants opened. But, why on earth would UMD CP build that terrible modern building on the corner of Baltimore and Campus drive(don't know why they change that street name). Disregard some pps here, they hate everything UMD.

I got my talking points. Please stop trotting that lame presentation to every single meeting, especially All UR meetings. We are over it.
Also? Sport jacket and jeans EVERY time? Maybe class it up sometimes, brother.

I wasn't sure if the "gateway arts" thing was just marketing and it is that too, but we have several neighbors who are working artists and musicians within a few blocks and that for sure wasn't true in our last, more expensive neighborhood. Better house parties, for sure.
