And how does one equate conservatism with the view that people cause climate change?
Non sequitur
Can you answer the question?
Let the killer answer it for you. From his manifest:
Why focus on immigration and birth rates when climate change is such a huge issue?
Because they are the same issue, the environment is being destroyed by over population, we Europeans are one of the groups that are not over populating the world. The invaders are the ones over populating the world. Kill the invaders, kill the overpopulation and by doing so save the environment.
That is not a conservative viewpoint. We do not believe that humans cause climate change, especially to the degree liberals do.

Mass immigration and the higher fertility rates of the immigrants themselves are causing this increase in population.
We are experiencing an invasion on a level never seen before in history. Millions of people pouring across our borders, legally.Invited by the state and corporate entities to replace the White people who have failed to reproduce, failed to create the cheap labour, new consumers and tax base that the corporations and states need to thrive.
This crisis of mass immigration and sub-replacement fertility is an assault on the European people that, if not combated, will ultimately result in the complete racial and cultural replacement of the European people.

"By the definition, then yes. It is a terrorist attack. But I believe it is a partisan action against an occupying force."
He boasted that he chose to use firearms so he could influence politics in the US.
He wrote that he wanted to "create conflict between the two ideologies within the United States on the ownership of firearms in order to further the social, cultural, political and racial divide".
And he ranted about his hopes that “this conflict over the 2nd amendment and the attempted removal of firearms rights will ultimately result in a civil war that will eventually balkanize the US along political, cultural and, most importantly, racial lines.”
Congratulations to the gun nutters here. You have a brother in arms across the world.
Sounds like Antifa
? Which antifa member shot up a bunch of people in the name of the 2a.?
DP: sure sounds like antifa -- where your noble goals (in this case saving the earth from climate change) justify your violent actions (in this case going beyond your fists and your projectiles).
This "ecofascist" nut shares the same core beliefs as antifa, and has little to do with conservatives.

The manifesto contains “white supremacist” propaganda. Mr Buchanan said told 1NEWSNZ he had seen the manifesto, and the shooting is “clearly the case of a white supremacist.”
In the 37-page document, he said he had planned the attack for two years and had a location lined up three months before the attack today.
He goes on to describe himself as an “eco-fascist”.
“I was a communist, then an anarchist and finally a libertarian before becoming an eco-fascist,” he wrote.
He also made a bizarre reference to Spyro the Dragon, a PlayStation game, saying it “taught me ethno-nationalism”.

Where did he state this? So many articles, not sure which one to read.
Here is what he says about Trump:
Were/are you a supporter of Donald Trump?
As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure. As a policy maker and leader? Dear god no.
