OK then, get yourself to any one of the usual suspect, high end bars in downtown DC at happy hour (e.g., Capitol Grill, Jefferson Hotel, etc.). These places are full of overeducated, over paid men in the age range you're looking for. They normally outnumber women ten to one, or so it appears to me.

Ha. There are many, many posts on DCUM in which women scold men for wanting to date "age inappropriate" women and tell them what age they should be dating.

No, most are just calling men out on their hilarious lies about how all the 35 year old women are lining up for 50 year old guys.

Are there some men out there in the range looking for this similar age appropriate mate? Seems like it although the sheer numbers of how many of these men are out there appears to be low. The OP says she looks younger and gets hit on by younger men i don't doubt the claim. Maybe appear or "position" ( thats code for lie) about the age so you seem to be 37-40 ish and go after men that are 47- ? which would be looking in your fake age range. Not the best advice but not uncommon either. Bottom line a close to 50 age man who has his act together is rarely looking at women close to his own age.
