You like what you like. I’m married to a medium height Asian guy. My 40-something single friends actually tell me to my face “I’m not attracted to men who aren’t tall and I’m not attracted to Asian men.” Well, that’s why you’re single! You have shallow criteria.

The dating scene can be rough. Seems silly to turn down someone for being short, when he’s taller than you.

It’s ok to prefer taller, on that alone you are not shallow. I don’t know about your other views though.

If you do date NEVER mention you had doubts due to his height, even if that’s what drives you to reject him, don’t say it. If you fall for him don’t say you almost rejected him due to his height.

My DH is my shortest conquest but has the longest... he's practically a tripod. Going shorter has improved my sex life- he's 5'7" and I'm 5'2" so everyone is tall to me.

When so many women have this preference, it's not shallow. It's a biological instinct. Just like how most men want a woman shorter than them. You can't ignore the primal instincts controlling your hormones and behavior. That's what makes the initial attraction happen in the first 5 seconds of meeting someone new.

OP, if you’re actually attracted to this guy but won’t date him then yeah, you’re shallow. You mentioned that he “wasn’t bald” so I imagine that would be an issue for you, too. Good luck with that.
