OMG TELL! That is beyond the confines of questioning whether or not to keep a secret. The tis a sick industry and one where he could easily contact AIDS or another disease. Who would want that for their child? Moreover, what are the reasons he did that? He must have very low self esteem, surely he has other qualities that he can use to get a "real" job. First and foremost sounds like he needs intensive therapy. Run don't walk to tell out of love.

I am a writer. I wish this were true. I've spent several nearly sleepless nights worrying about what to do but I've decided I can't do much more than sending out occasional invitations, which he'll accept when and if he's ready. He's an adult. I can only offer support if he's willing to accept it. My sister would only see my input as meddling.
