All it does is compare suspension rates and other metrics among different racial and ethnic groups, including Asians. All of these metrics can be driven by a variety of factors including socioeconomic status and racial bias. And yes it would be great to actually film the behavior, and the resulting disciplinary action, because it would likely show what other studies have shown which is that when teachers are shown the same behavior by black and white students, they flag the black students but not the white students.
You all must be really bored.

Maybe both the teachers and the parents ought to worry a bit more as to why so many of these kids are years behind their grade level.

i started this topic , hate libs but what on earth could elementary school kids do to warrant suspensions? I think this zero tolerance nonsense. When I was I middle school I dressed up as an Arab terrorist on Halloween . I had a dummy grenade, a T-shirt I write death to America on, and wore a keffiyeh. Today I’d be In Jail for that. Others tones I would wear a gas mask to school on HalloweenAnonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:That was such a stupid study. That is what's happening now in elementary schools.

Anonymous wrote:The disparity between Asians and blacks and Hispanics is even greater than the black and Hispanic disparity with whites yet they are hiding it. Why?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Isn't Hispanic the largest population in MCPS already? Minority? The title of that thread is wrong in the first place.
Hispanics are probably already a plurality in the county. When I graduated from my MCPS high school in 1993 the school was probably 70% white, now it is less than 40% white and Hispanics are the largest group
