My kids already follow me around all day, I don't need another reminder on my body of them lol.
I am also unsure they would appreciate this tattoo when they get older...

In addition to your dumb tattoo idea, you also thought it would be a good idea to resurrect a seven year old thread to say this??

Yet you replied

I have my 10 kids’s faces tattooed on each of my toes. They are my little piggies. (This is obviously a joke).

Because it is.

I mean, live your life, but to me tattooing the kids' names, etc on you is about the equivalent of naming your kid Hayleigh or Brayden. Nothing wrong with it, but I am fairly certain we won't be BFFs.

But sporks are the worst of both forks and spoons.

Your sarcasm is duly noted for the record.
How exactly is it “honoring” your children by writing their names permanently on your body? Please explain.

You’ve never seen all of the “my stretch marks are a badge of honor” people?

My children indelibly marked both my body and my soul. Choosing to commemorate that on my body in a way I chose (vs a way I don’t with sag or deflated boobs or stretch marks or a cs scar) really isn’t a big deal. Why does it bother you so much if others enjoy marking their own skin (I mean I get it why you’d be mad if I wanted to tattoo your skin. But I don’t). Why you so mad?

I have symbols representing us, tied to a family totem. As a single parent it’s meaningful to me but surely no one else would never infer what the tattoo represents.

The beautiful thing about my tattoos (I live out west - they’re ubiquitous so none of this stiff lipped small minded “trashy” talk here) is that they’re for me. I’m glad that I don’t judge other people for how they choose to look, or dress, or adorn their bodies. Love the wrong from people who choose not to tattoo, and from those who enjoy it. Life is hard let’s not quibble about decorations or personal meaning or symbolism, shall we?

It’s awesome that your husband is handsome! Tattoos of names are still dumb. So he’s a handsome guy with dumb tattoos.

Such a cute response! My mother always taught me to show respect for the elderly so I’ll leave it at that

It’s cute that you think only old people dislike name tattoos.

DP. I'm 38 and dislike all tattoos equally. On everyone. But perhaps that counts as elderly!

My husband has some. It wasn't a dealbreaker, obviously. But is it attractive? Not particularly. Especially now that they're all faded and he's lost interest in maintaining them or getting new ones.

I can take or leave tattoos but names just look so basic. If you’re gonna get a tattoo make it good, creative, artistic, something.

I have three tiny numbers. No one can see.

Thinking of my long-ago neighbor who after her third baby, got a tramp stamp tattoo with each child’s name in a flower! I know because she had to show everyone at our 2003 block party. It was pink and glittery, just like her Juicy Couture velour sweats!

I see the appeal, but as a parent of older kids, I don’t recommend it. The relationship you have with your kids will change over time; raising a kid is a process of them becoming less and less “yours.” Yes, you always love them wholly and completely. But now that my kids are older, it would feel odd and almost possessive (? Not the word exactly but it’s the best I can come up with) to be wearing them on my own body.
