This isn't accurate at all. The data that you are referring to on the highly able count was adjusted with different criteria for high FARMS and low FARMS schools. The W school feeder kids needed to score substantially higher to make the list than the non-W schools. This is why you see roughly equal numbers of kids scoring high. If you look at the PARRC scores you'll notice a precipitous drop in score for all the schools that are not W schools (or not low FARMS). There certainly is a bright cohort at Sligo or SSIM but there is no need to traffic in false data interpretations. Be proud of the schools for what they are not what you mislead them to be.

The county's data used to establish the cohort criteria that was linked here the other week showed it was accurate.

My kids started at Woodlin when we were new to area. We were there 2 years, before we bought our home zones Sligo Creek.

I didn’t like the fact that Sligo Creek is split into 2 programs.
It left the Academy students with a small co-hort because the attrition to the French Immersion program also in the building.

The county's data shows those two MS have the greatest number of high-performing students of any in the county. Yes, there's also a lot of SES diversity but the peer cohort is as strong or stronger than any W pyramid. Also, there are numerous HS programs which offer many choices from CAP, biomedical or VAC. Honestly, you really can't go wrong here.
