FWIW, I’m Asian, and I married an Asian person. I didn’t think it was a big deal that the boys were not Asian. The boys were cute, smart, and kind. What’s not to like?

My niece who’s half Asian has very almond shaped eyes. Eurasian/Amerasians can look very Asian or not.
Non Asian explaining to an Asian how Amerasians look compared to Asians. Please stop, and please don’t think because you have a half Asian niece that you are now some sort of expert on Asian things.
Half Asian pp here. Of my siblings and I, I look most white and am often mistaken for Latina. Youngest sibling looks 100% Asian and looks a lot like the Asian side of my family. So within a family there can be a range of Asian-ness.
Also wanted to address a previous pp’s implication that I may have some self loathing. I do find some aisian guys attractive but they’re always mixed (like me) so I guess I’m not really counting them because they aren’t 100% Asian. Also, in general, Asian guys I know or have known tend to be short, and I’m pretty tall. I’m just not that into short guys.
Of course, makes sense. FYI - It's hurtful to the Asian American community when an Asian person, or even half-Asian (I would consider you Asian if you wanted to be) announces "I'm not into Asians". It plays into the whites-are-superior narrative. At the very least it's frankly not a very polite thing to announce in public and unfortunately some people say it to engender acceptance among non-Asians.

It seems typical of this generation who follow beauty vloggers and live on Instagram.
