Normally I would agree with you but once I saw it on stage I liked it the way it ended. Part of it is that you get to see how very productive Eliza was and all the things she got done in the time she had after Alexander died - which makes up for the fact that the women have little agency in driving the revolution and the state-building along due to the inequality of the times.Anonymous wrote:Also want to add that the final number is a little too muted and underwhelming.
