LOL when I was a server, my favorite side task was marrying the ketchups. So much better than wipe-drying the silverware and glasses. Ah, good times in those my crazy young restaurant days...

slow day on the internet to revive a 3 year old thread.
heinz wasn't doing anything deceitful, they often sell empty bottles for food service folks who buy their products in bulk form. the cooks refilling the ketchup with brand X and not heinz were the bad guys. heinz still gets my vote as the goto ketchup.
we are in a ketchup shortage. so better start hoarding.

I’ve always known this and thought it was gross. I’m okay with refilling but I’d like it if they sanitized the bottles beforehand. I hate the crusty lid and thinking about how old the ketchup must be at the bottom
