He's atoned for his sins. Let the people vote.
I am a democrat that would vote for a monkey over trump but would be appalled if the D's nominated Franken. Almost appalled enough to say eff them all as a woman.
I understand that and I think it would be a mistake to nominate him.
I also think he got railroaded. The woman who accused him conveniently went on to be paid by conservative media. I am not convinced it happened as she claims. I mean, based on the evidence presented, he had to resign, but it is all very suspect.
Seven women. Of varying political dispositions. Are you a man or a woman? I'm really over the brand of liberal man that rises up to defend people like Franken.
OK, I'm going to be honest that I had actually forgotten that the other allegations happened. I was going through a personal crisis at that point and hadn't tracked this as closely as some others.
I just read the Time article about the accusations. several of his accusers were unnamed. I still am not sure even those named rose to the level of him losing his seat. If the allegations are true, yes, he's skeevy. I just still feel like some of this was overblown.
He did the right thing resigning as quickly as he did. He just never had a chance to try to disprove anything.
He didn't really resign quickly. But regardless. I don't want to vote for someone skeevy.
Then you must hate voting for anyone. All politicians are skeevy, conniving, and scheming to some degree. I know guy who went into the military simply so they could run as a "veteran." They are also more psychopathic and narcissistic than your average citizen. It's what draws them to politics in the first place.
Ok. Personally I'm going to try very very very hard to not vote for someone that has a known record of degrading women in any capacity. Have to start somewhere.
Mike Pence is your candidate
Stripping women of their rights is degrading.

You?
I like Biden. He is going to be 78 at the time of the 2020 inauguration. Nope. Too old. It’s time to look past white Boomers for leadership. There is a lot to be excited about in the younger generation. Tammi Duckworth and Kampala Harris top my list. I am liking Beto O’Rourke as a possible VP. But someone under 60.
THIS. We need fresher blood. Of course, the DNC did such a poor job for so many years developing young talent that we are still talking about potential octogenarian presidents.

Like she is hiding due to humiliation. That being said, I hope she doesn’t run as we can’t risk our party being divided again and people voting for trump or third party.Republicans did an amazing job at painting her as a corrupt villain and I don’t think she can come bck from that. Fox News still talks about her daily as if she is the biggest traitor and threat to our country. The hate for her is way too strong.
Yeah like I said, so convinced she's a narcissistic devil you think a 73 year old woman who was just lost the election in the most humiliating way in modern history is going to do what no presidential candidate has done since 1956, ie, run in a subsequent election after having lost one. This is not going to happen, I don't know what boogeyman you will replace her with but she's gone, you killed her, she's never going to be president.
The last time it was successful BTW was 1892!

If I rememeber my Constitution correctly, she is too young
"Article II simply requires that a President be a "natural born Citizen" of the United States, at least thirty-five years of age and a "Resident within the United States" for fourteen years."
And she is 28. So let’s do some math. 2024 or 2028, depending on her birthday.

No way. Look at how many people voted for trump simply because they hated Hillary. we can’t risk this again. And I say this as someone who thinks Hillary would be a great president.
I believe Hillary can win 2020. I would vote for again and this time most of the media attack on her would not stick after what people have seen from Trump.
That said I do not think she would run.

I am amazed at the latent anti-powerful-women syndrome many people posses. Your post, even though is not anti-Hillary still paints her in a negative light if she decides to run again? Why should a qualified woman wanting to vie for a role she is fit for considered such a bad thing?
