The only thing they imply is that getting the stick in your hand and practicing before tryouts is a great idea. Nothing more. Depending on what grade you're trying out for, boys 2021 or 2022 for instance, it's true that there is almost never any changes on that team (except two years ago when they added Mitchell's nephew to the team), but if you're interested, nothing wrong with practicing and giving it a shot. I did notice that they didn't even include the HS boys in the pre-tryout camps--so even more indication, I guess, that they really don't see adding players.

Looking for a top notch club experience for my son as we moved to the area. I read that DCE's 21 and 22 teams did very well last year. How do the NL teams at those ages compare?

Yes, DCE INCLUDES Performance. So you can't close your eyes and wish their 2019 and 2020 teams (and the awful teams before them) don't exist.

If DCE has such fantastic coaches, how come they couldnt do anything with their Performance guys? And now that they're being kicked out of Bullis, the DCE experiment is orobably going to implode.

DCE only started two years ago with their 2021s. Any team prior to that is basically the Performance team. Since the BLC teams are decent to very good, DCE will start producing a lot more college players.

DCE has one great team and one very good team. Rest is not so hot. And they have no record of recruiting success. Look at their 2019 team. Horrible.

Madlax has a solid record of College recruits. DCE not so much.

It’s hard to say they are all overpriced when you don’t really have viable alternatives.

Yes I agree that Madlax and DCE are run by scumbags... BUT those two clubs are more successful that NL (other than the 2023 team). They go to better tournaments and get more players recruited to play college lax. Also, those two clubs have at least 3 coaches that are dedicated to each team. NL has multiple coaches that are on multiple teams - leading to schedule conflicts (especially during the summer and spring league games). Until they can hire enough coaches, they will always be behind.
