Current situation is not working for either of you. This is not a man in crisis but he is stuck. As long as OP keeps doing it all, he will keep dy nothing. The fear is that he will spiral more, if do then maybe she can get him serious help. But my bet is that he dies just fine without the marriage supporting him. It's worth the risk either way since oP cannot /is not helping now but is herself at risk.

OP, I wouldn’t be able to give up hope yet either. But I do agree with PPs that it’s time for you to show your cards. If this doesn’t improve, I’m going to have to dramatically change the dynamic. I can’t just keep on this path. I love you want want to save our marriage but I can’t do it alone.

I think you should stop paying for his therapy and divert the funds to help for yourself. He's not listening to the therapist anyway.

First off- I have Clinical Depression. Been having a bad two and a half years. BUT if there is anything I can force myself to do it's take care of my family. I'm a professional but if my disease ever gets bad and I can handle my profession you better believe I will drive for Lyft or walk dogs or whatever.

His therapist says he can work. Alcoholism is a disease like Depression but sometimes we have to employ Tough Love. Maybe it's time for your DH to get a kick in the butt.
