Why expel victims? We should help them.

Most of the victims are also illegals.

Read the WAPO article. Lots of this involves the unaccompanied minors. Prince George's had an influx of 5,000. That's hard to absorb.

DACA needs to end permanently.

This has nothing to do with DACA and you damn well know it.

EVERYTHING to do with illegal immigration, of which DACA is a part. I am sick and tired all of it. Our failing schools, over crowding, crime, gangs, all of my tax money going to a school providing services to ESOL and 70% FARMs, and us having to shell out $$$ we don't have for private. Sick of it. So kindly STFU and GFYS.

Please don't tell me you are confusing ESOL and FARMS with illegal immigration. You realize there are plenty of US citizens who are ESOL and FARMs. You think any poor person who speaks Spanish is "illegal"?? SMH.

There is no confusion. If these kids are citizens, they are the children of illegal immigrants. Wouldn't have been an issue if they had been prevented from entering the US illegally, removed before getting pregnant (which they do very quickly, and for good reason). Stop playing stupid.

Stop playing ignorant. I’m a PP who agrees MS-13 is a problem but demonizing all Hispanic immigrants is not going to solve it.

If you’d rather send your kids to school with white or black poor people rather than Hispanic ones there are plenty of places in this country where you can do that.

I have 0 beef with "Hispanic immigrants." I do, however, have a problem if they are ILLEGAL immigrants. Illegal immigrants are also not limited to those of Hispanic origin, you notice. You'll do well to not confuse race issues with having a secure border. It's not the same thing.

The schools, nor the district administration, are not going to advertise the number of MS 13 members there are. Bad PR.
In fact, many articles about the killing of individuals, or the arrest of individuals, leaves off the name of the schools that individuals attend.
Why do you think that might be?

So then how do you know it's in EVERY school? If we want to address this issue then we need FACTS. Not just hysteria.

How many of those are school-aged?
Which neighborhoods?
Which schools?

Maybe the LEO spouse has some FACTS she can share.

You are disgusting. Gang activity and illegal immigration problems has started to seep into the best neighborhoods and still you're playin dumb and spreading lies, pretending to be ignorant. STFU.

I don't know what school system you are in, but the Post has been doing great journalism on this phenomenon. Both the linked article and one about two months ago about Langley Park.

I'm pro-immigrant and pro-DACA, which is why I refuse to pretend gangs aren't a problem. My kids may not be at risk, but I care about the thousands of immigrant kids in our area who are, due to their neighborhood or having family in Central America.

Which neighborhoods and which schools? It's an issue, but WHERE?

Jesus Christ she just gave you another example. Guessing you don’t live in Langley Park so you don’t care about that neighborhood.

So Langley Park and Fairfax HS. We're up to two now...

Don’t worry you’re probably pretty safe in Potomac!

This is what drives me insane about these discussions. It's always the ones who are wealthy enough to shutter themselves off in affluent, primarily homogeneous enclaves trying to tell the rest of us that WE'RE the racists, fear mongerers, etc. for being concerned about gangs, violence, etc. in the local schools.

Exactly.

Exactly what? The middle school featured in this article is clearly not reporting gang related incidents but the teachers and students say it’s a problem. Do you not believe them? If it’s being swept under the rug at this school you’d better believe it’s gapoening elsewhere as well. No school wants to be associated with gang violence.
