NP here, and I have to agree with PP. OP, you didn't do anything wrong. Your wife's friend sounds like a troublemaker. As for your wife, you might want to consider thinking through why she has allowed her friend's troublemaking behavior to agitate her so much.

And you are not initiating clearly, so given this info she might be right to be suspicious. If I wasn't having sex with my DH for over a year, my first thought wouldn't be ED, but he is cheating.

Only busy bodies like you would think about anything like that. Being a busy body is being nasty. Like 100 years ago when grandmas set on the porch or bench in front of houses, yards and saw a girl from the same village/town walk down the street towards her house with a boy!! Then she got home and a bit later got a beating, because she was a whore! And she was just walking the same way home as the same village boy who goes to the same village school and went to the same store to buy dad cigarettes! +1 I don't avoid having a conversation with someone because they are a male unless of course it's VP Pence! And when I have a conversation with a male I don't de-neuter myself to throw up a wall of safety. I don't intentionally flirt but I'm always friendly.

I have these convos all the time and I don't even work. I'm married, not dead, and DH knows it. Yes, I'll flirt. Yes, I'll have talks with people I find interesting. I enjoy attention from the opposite sex but it never goes further than talk.
