I'm looking for a moderate to vote for. Don't see any, sadly.
Then at least who will do the least damage to the local economy, focusing less on social issues and more on growth?

Isn't that how it works though? Voters want to hear about all the great things that are going to happen. Most voters don't give much thought to where the money will come from. Universal PreK sounds like a fantastic, amazing idea, until you realize that MCPS is already so incredibly underfunded, that to fund universal free preK, the money would just mean more cuts?

This is a HUGE problem for MoCo, IMO. The development over the past decade is RIDICULOUS. All the high rises are changing the feel of the county. And, when all this increased housing remains empty, it does not led to an increase in tax revenue. There needs to be more thought put into how many buildings to up and when.
Who says it's empty?
It will be.
Why will it be? The builders build in order to sell their units. If their units don't sell, they won't build more.

Wow - it's like he's reading my mind! I had been leaning towards Krasnow, but that changed my mind. I think I'll.vote for Frick.
I agree, Elrich would be 100% the worst. I won't vote for any current council member for any position. Ditto.school board
This.
But then you have this woman who is appointed for 4 more years by Leaventhal:

What about Krasnow?
Krasnow used to be on the Planning Board. So vote for her if you like those results.
She’s got executive experience, though. The others don’t.
She's a diva from Rockville who thought she was above the rules (from what I've heard from people who worked for her/with her/had to deal with her). I would love to see a female CE, but she isn't the right candidate. She has zero chance of winning.
Leventhal is the best bet. He isn't perfect, but he's the best package at the moment.

I am not a fan. Rose was not the problem at the Planning Dept, the Plnning Board was/is. She was a staffer who the Board over-rode every time in favor of developers. I like her! Berliner I want to like, but he takes too much $$ from developers.
Berliner is a corrupt self interested jerk. Don’t believe that he’s better than that because a month before an election he’s being real nice and throwing out a few bones. Please!
I’ve written council members twice when there have been votes on issues I was particularly concerned about and Berliner didn’t write back...you would think that with so few people paying attention to county politics that some staffer could be borrowed to return an email.
