Twice her FCPS elementary school called me to say I would have to drive her to/from a field trip because they hadn't been able to get a bus with a lift. And both times when I made enough noise, they magically found one.
But the second time, the driver announced that because my child's chair didn't have the right kind of seat belt, he wouldn't use the lift. He was wrong, the belt was approved, but I had to come to school and show him the information online to get him to agree. The admins from the school did nothing to advocate for her, they just deferred to him and called me to come drive her.
They held up a whole field trip bus of kids rather than figure it out for themselves or call the transportation supervisor?
