No club or league loyalty. These are teams I have seen play locally in tournaments or showcases or in league play. I am suggesting the younger ages for younger kids to watch. When I give a club name, assume its the top team / color for that age. I am sure there are others I have not seen so apologies on that. Hope this helps parents find some good games for kids to watch. These are not listed in order of who I think is best. Just good teams.

Please dont bash this list. There are plenty of opinions out there, and all are good. What I do know is if you go watch the teams above, you will see strong technical play, athletic kids, various types of styles, good coaching etc. Remember, every team has a style and not all players work well in all systems.
Thanks for this list - some good information which is rarely seen around here. Please post more often. I have seen a few of the teams listed above and agree with your assessment.
OP again. Great list, thank you! Now we'll just have to figure out how/when to watch some good soccer.

Anonymous wrote:Interesting read through everyone's assessment of the teams. A quick scan through NCSL, EDP, and CCL sites shows some shuffling of rankings around these age groups. I know W/L doesn't always equate to "best" team, but there has definitely been movement.

DS's team played them twice and I think the score was 10-0 or something like that. I think Gedion was already gone the second time they played them.
I know that team! They were a couple age groups above my oldest son and were legendary. I don't know any of them, but follow Jeremy Ebobisse (now playing for Portland in MLS) on twitter. He's a really thoughtful guy.
Yes, DS also played high school soccer so played against Ebobisse and others in HS too. For those who complain about HS soccer I recall that Ebobisse was on JV for at least a year.
