A ton of the sports leagues start up the week of the 7th - I was waiting til I get the schedule to respond for one party. Party kid isn't a super bestie but a friend - balanced with my kid had to work hard to earn a place onto this team/position & desperately doesn't want to miss first game of the season. It's hard to schedule around everything...

It’s the weekend after spring break, ergo Easter weekend.


Completely depends on the particular school's Spring Break schedule, some are the week before Easter, some after. Some not anywhere near Easter.


Most of the kids are on Spring Break this week, thus the weekend after would be Easter Weekend. We know someone having a party on Saturday and I don't know if many people are going (we are not because we have Easter plans). Definitely bad timing to have a party.

Some are returning home late Sat or even Sun afternoon. Difficult time to gather everyone.

If you need numbers for an event, send a reminder stating that. They know if they are back from break by then or not. If they are waiting for schedules, they have to make a decision. Its rude to string along an inviter while you wait to find a better offer. If the party is important to their child they should say yes and agree to skip any game that gets scheduled. If soccer is a priority, they should say no to the party and own the consequences if there winds up not being soccer.

That said, my issue with paperless post invites is I tend to open them at odd times, mean to check the calendar when I get home, forget, and by then the email is buried. Follow up and request a reply by a certain date.
