DD is getting married this summer, locally. So, we are paying for a wedding, not a vacation. Will be nice to see all the family in town for a bit. Will be just as nice to see them leave!

France! My home country! We haven't had a vacation in years!

I am planning a Heidi/chalet/Alps vacation.
There will be great food.
There will be family togetherness.
There will be gorgeous top of the world mountain hikes.
And hopefully ponies for the kids and via ferrata for me:

We're planning a big international trip over winter break this year, so no where this summer. Maybe weekend trips here and there.

DP: you can price it out online. Cruise plus flights plus hotel pre and post cruise plus excursions in each port city. I bet it's easily $12-15k for a family of 4.

Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Kids 11 and 9. Pretty upscale for us, since we usually just do a week at the beach.
