Oh how this made me laugh today. Thank you.

Except that it's not true. Look at enrollment from the south and western part of Virginia. many counties don't send a single student, whereas Fairfax sends 600+

I don't care a fig if its true or not. It made me laugh and that's all that matters.

OK. Wallow in your ignorance

And you sit tight in your rigidity, pal.[/quote]

That makes no sense. If bigoted false stereotypes make you laugh, then by all means . . . laugh, but I feel sorry for you.

And do.. what?

It's not unheard for a school to rescind an offer.

For asking this question?

eh Vandy might have the edge but it is just as much of an ivy-reject school as UVA.

Ivy reject school? I'd say it's on par with Cornell at least (the butt of all Ivy jokes).

Get away from this area and enjoy a better school. They have a great freshman dorm set up.

Study a major you don't necessarily like because of dorms? That has to be a kid posting.

OP, you said there are more decisions coming. Sit tight until you know all your options.

Duh - it is the children who are going to college. What did you expect?

I'm with the other posters saying don't lock yourself into a specific major. There's a reason for the link to the requisite major. And, once in, you may just decide that you love other areas of study.
