That is what she is seeking to do. I suggest to just let it go, don't poke a rattle snake with a stick!

I do not agree with this poster 100%, but in someways I think this is probably correct. I have kids in SACC, and I don't want there to be any issues. I want things to be easy and smooth, it takes so much effort, and I don't want anyonecoming after me and my family. I had a neighbor call CPS on us because my kids walked on their grass. It is a totally intrusive and terrible experience. I didn't sleep for months. It not worth it. Just be quiet and move on. You can count me out, I want no part no matter how wrong that woman is.

Does any parent know if Annandale Terrace is a good school? I am bringing my family here for an IT job. We are moving from the Seattle area. IS latch key/SACC good there?

I saw that Tracey Kholer is the President of the PTA there.
Her email is listed on the Fort Hunt PTA website.
Maybe this will help.

It is a good solution of for some. For others with security clearances it is not feasible. People that are DoD contractors, federal employees, civil servants etc have to report their relationships with foreign nationals. I used to work as a contractor for SAIC, and then Liedos, but now work in a completely unrelated field. I don't even want an Au Pair in my home, raising my children, that is probably worse then SAAC. No offense, but you can not trust anyone that is not blood related, we took a pay cut and had one parent stay at home. When the kids are old enough, my wife will go back to work. It sounds bad, but we both agreed. I don't want my kids put through the NOVA drama that SACC is putting you all through. It sounds like a horror movie with out Freddy Kruger. Good luck parents, you are going to need it. To the college kid looking for summer work, we offer good paid student intern positions. Go on the USAID website. Again good luck.

Agree with 12:53 poster 100%! It's time to deal with this woman. I'm the PP who isn't there, but looking at the myriad of bad experiences in just a 24 hour period and it is clear the time to act is now. If you all need anything help from afar, I'm in.

Ben Mar Park checking in. My daughter was at Woodley Hills and was bullied at SACC and in school. The problem is non-Spanish speakers are targeted by the Spanish speaking kids. The whole facility from administration to SACC is rotten on the vine. Ben Mar is a good school. Good people, and I and my family feel at home

I saw one ALUM on this thread. I am also an Alum of SACC. I went to Waynewood and TJ. I am now at George Mason and in my second year. I came on looking for a summer job that I need to find out about soon. Paid or upaid. My time at SACC was sometimes ok. We moved the other way. I didn't do so well in the Spanish program, just never got it. My grades improved when I moved into Waynewood. SACC at Fort Hunt was scary, and miserable for me, SACC at Waynewood, was fun and I didn't always want to leave. I loved Fun Fridays, and playing Ghost in the Graveyard. Never had an any bad times at Waynewood. As a kid there I loved it. PEACE and OUT!

Anonymous wrote:I am a former SACC student at Fort Hunt, went to Carl Sandburg, the Mount Vernon High. I know the woman they are talking about. She is harsh, confrontational, and as a child I was in fear of her. She made me wait to go to the bathroom, I peed my self and was embarrassed in front of my friends. She humiliated the kids. I remember her pulling me by my arm, and pushing me down on the carpet before a snack. I heard her say nasty things about parents, and when my father complained she said he called her the “N” word. So it was buried. Both of my parents relied on SACC as an affordable option to daycare. Both my parents worked blue collar jobs, no DoD affiliation. So them being able to have day care at the school I was in was paramount. After I told my mom and dad about the peeing incident, and “MM” making up false accusations about my dad, he pulled me out. It tore him up when she lied about him. My mom and dad had to cut their hours at work because of it. My grand parents were both in the Orlando area. This was a while ago, but I see that terrible woman is still at it, and using her “race” card when her back is against the wall. The parents should band together, but in this area, good luck on that.?

I am so very sorry. This is abusive. Someone needs to show all this to P. Fitz and demand action. I would also show it to the PTA President and contact FFX School Board and Mt. Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck, he knows the school very well. Enough is enough.

To the poster before me, this is my first time on this board. I also work in the area but our precious ones are out on the other side of Springfield. I went on here because we are thinking of moving into the Fort Hunt/Hollin Hall area just because we are tired of commuting. I don't know, this SACC issue does sound like gambling. How can you as parents let it go on? Are you really afraid of this woman?

PP here, and I no longer live in the area. I am in the Midwest now, but would certainly act if I were there. I didn't have direct problems with her in my interactions, but things like my kid peeing her pants were just unacceptable. Based on what others have said, she is clearly a major problem. If still there, I would confront any accountable leader - It's just in my nature, but I realize not everyone is like that. And I'm sure it's hard being called a racist in retaliation for addressing issues, especially when so many parents choose Ft. Hunt for it's diversity. That being said, I certainly hope a few parents band together. I know the area is known for people keeping their heads down (ironically, as many are drawn there as public servants), but think of the next Kindergartner who starts there and is frightened. It's really absurd that she wields so much power. Isn't the principal's daughter in SACC?

Hi PP, just joining the conversation. I am a Navy employee, came from the Midwest. I like to tackle issue as they come up. We heard about the diversity of Fort Hunt, and opted for the lottery and the Spanish program, also my kid liked the summer SACC. Now, I haven't seen this woman that is in charge of the Fort Hunt do anything wrong, in fact she seems absent to me. Another parent called her aloof. I think that is right. When I come in to pick up my kid, the woman in charge just sits are her desk, doesn't say a word, nor does she even say hello or goodbye. When I go in and see there are no kids in the SACC rooms I ask her, sometimes she answers sometimes I have to ask her a few times. She will give a one word answer. Ok fine, she is not personable.
I know the guy that she accused of calling her a "Stupid African." He is also Navy and his child is from a mixed ethnicity. The guy is on the diversity council in his Navy job, volunteers for girl scouts, and his local church. I don't know him well, but we talk when we see each other, and this woman's accusations really made him upset, I mean really affected him. Both he and his wife will be stuck in a terrible spot if they have to pull their kid out due to this woman.
The point is just because this woman has X many years doesn't make her the Yoda and supreme commander of all SACC. Never should a SACC employee slander a parent. If there was really something said and in this guys case I don't believe it, why did she wait so long to say something? It seems like she didn't like being confronted, and wanted to slap the guy back down and put him in his place like how dare he.
I have seen this in the Navy, and now at SACC. We had an issue with this at a daycare on base, and the person was fired. They took the parents word their was a problem. We are the customers, and pay a lot for SACC, I think that SACC forgets this.
