All this tit for tat about admission is beside the point.
We are paying for a TINY PRIVATE SCHOOL that can’t possibly accommodate the number of students interested.
That’s the only issue that matters. We can’t afford it. We don’t have space for it. It’s not equitable.
The end.
You sound like one of the people who complains how TJ is unfair to other Fairfax County schools. You really expect counties to give up renowned schools because you think they're "unfair"?
Not sure TJ is a remotely good comparison. Fairfax County has more teachers and staff in their schools than Arlington has students. Think about that for a second. It's educating nearly 190,000 kids in 200 schools. Just because it works for Fairfax doesn't mean that model is applicable to the smallest county in the DMV.
DP. Do you have a substantive response to pp’s point, or is this the equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling, “I CANT HEAR YOU!” because you don’t like what the person is saying?

Your children are going to attend private school, yet you're trolling the public school boards. Riiiight. No one who could afford private and had already made the decision to send kids to private would be this invested. And if your kids are going private there's no reason to live in Arlington. Move to Lake Barcroft or Alexandria and get a life.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:You should totally throw all your energy into getting H-B Woodlawn shut down. Crabs in a bucket
I have toddlers. 100 million for a building meant to be the crown jewel of Rosslyn’s revitalization? F#ck that. It hasn’t been answered for, not by a long shot.
Whatever. I hope it benefits your kids. Maybe they’ll gain some intelligence. There’s no way they’ve inherited any.
I can think it’s a total waste of our money and resources ( and point out your stupidity) without being bothered otherwise. My children will be going to private school. Getting informed was wise. APS is all fluff and no stuff.

*thud*
For petesake people, if you're going to try to make a smart point, do the slightest bit of research so you don't look like an idiot. Arlington's Secondary Program for Autism is fully integrated with H-B Woodlawn. Some of those kids you think are getting in for no good reason may have Asperger's and are a part of that program.
