So you are ok with others, like teachers and troops, buying more and more candy while your goes in the landfill to pollute?
Not everyone eats boatloads of candy at once, so they can ration it. Leave it out at work, donate it to the local library, or school. Don't police others and keep crap out of the landfill.
Or woman up and tell your relatives you are tossing everything so they can give stuff to people who would enjoy it.
I have told my relative we throw it out. That has no impact on the amount we receive. Keep in mind we receive more than OP.
Where I am, charities don't want candy; I couldn't find anyone to take it when I did try. I find it kind of bizarre how worked up some of you are at the idea that candy is thrown out.
You could just hand it to a homeless person, someone who rarely gets a treat.

It’s not allowed in school lunches and too much at home means our dentist is making big money on us these days! Becky and Bobby love stickers and coloring though so crayons are just as much, if not more fun for them. I don’t want to seem ungrateful but I’d hate to see you wasting money on something they really can’t enjoy.
