Why?
Because men generally abandon their kids and only play Disney dad every other weekend.
+1. Even if this isn't true, no one blinks when they have babysitters, grandma, or ex-wife "cover" their days. Men are supposed to have lives, you know. Women are supposed to facilitate them.
+1. Way easier on the dad, as it was when he was marri s too.
That said, women can find dates and future partners. I have been to several wonderful second weddings for divorcees and widowers, in all cases the women had 2-3 kids, primary custody. One case is true Brady bunch, 3+3, and then they had a 7th!
Anonymous wrote:I don't know of "easier" is the right term. But I do know a lot of men with children that secured the first woman to walk by. By secure I mean, not marriage, but obligation. Or men that continued to carry on with the woman they cheated on the wife with...so I've only really seen men act desperate, have low standards, and blend families quickly to "secure" the woman.
Most of the single Moms I know don't let men interact with their kids until it's serious. Thus, when dating doesn't go anywhere it doesn't hurt the kids.

Most women aren't decent-looking. I ride the Metro every day, so I know what's out there.
Anonymous wrote:I think custody is a big piece of it, but I think even with 50/50 custody, there is also the fact that men twnd to want to date ~their age, maybe a bit younger and women skew towards dating ~their age, maybe a bit older.
So let’s say 35yo mom of 2, her prospects are men in their 30’s and 40’s who either have their own kids (so anything serious is complicated by that) or men who don’t have kids, many of whom don’t want kids. And even the men who DO want kids and DON’T have them may want their own biokids and the age of the woman will be a concern. If you are just screwing around then it won’t matter but if you want a real relationship it is tricky.
Take the male counterpart 35yo dad of two: his prospects are women in their 20’s and 30’s, many of whom don’t yet have kids and want them, and are young wnough to envision adding a baby to the man’s existing kids with no major concerns.

No, women demand custody because they want cash and prizes, and the courts generally give it to them.

Anonymous wrote:what about divorced dads?
do you think most would prefer to date women with children or childless women?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This is my sense. Is it true?
When I was single I wasn't put off by a guy being a single Dad. My guy friends would never date a single mom, though. I think it's because women are more nurturing and we're willing to open our hearts and arms to more people. My guy friends simply didn't want to raise another man's child or have his leftovers as they so juvenilely put it.
