This explains why I can't find a Hybrid Pacifica at my local Chrysler dealer -- they are loaded up with Jeeps and I was thinking, "Who still buys these things?"

It's never a status symbol for the kid. They did nothing. Teens in their right minds don't confer status to other teens based on parent, and only parent, success.


I don't think you understand how teens, or status symbols, work


But I do! Just more mature and level-headed than quite a few adults.

I have driven them. They are fun for very short commutes, but nothing longer. No way in heck would I pay more than about $25k for one, and even then, they would be toward the bottom of my list. People, it is a Jeep.


All the SUV's we are looking at are $35-45 with the safety features.

OH, god I totally wanted a Jeep Wrangler in high school. I even dated a dude who had one for a bit, just because I liked his car (well, and he was a Senior! ) Alas, I didn't get a car until I bought one in college.
