The one upside of my son's peanut allergy was that I could legitimately take the peanut candy. I don't have that excuse with my daughter, so I have to sneak around, but she always notices (darn that math sense that kicks in only for Halloween candy!).

You should ask, not sneak

What are you, the candy police?

Almond Joy, Mounds and PayDay--all of the ones they don't really care about.

100 Grand from DS1 as he doesn't really care about those. DS2 would fight me to the death for those so I wouldn't dare take them from his bowl.

almond joy

DC supply was a mass of orange - mostly peanut butter cups and kit kats and a few mini hersheys.

People can you mix it up next year? Here are some suggestions I like: heath bar. skor, chunky, mounds, sky bar, oh henry, take 5

My favorites are Reese's Nutrageous and Take 5, but you don't see many of those.

Backup choices are anything else Reese's, Twix and Kit Kat. I'm not as big on Snickers or Milky Way but those will do in a pinch. From the sour candy I like Sour Patch Kids and Skittles are OK, Starburst only pink and red

Jolly Ranchers
Charms blow pops
Heath bars
Peanut M&Ms
Reeses

Only Reeses in this year’s haul, sadly (but I gave out Jolly Ranchers, and generously (if I do say so myself) strings of Zotz).

Snickers, then peanut m&ms. Our sweet elderly neighbors make special bags for neighborhood kids and they put in a bunch of Lindt truffles or Ghirardelli squares which are also shared.

We call it the Mommy Tax (or Daddy Tax depending on who is doing the stealing)

Mounds - I refrigerate overnight and eat with my morning coffee.

Peanut m&ms and gum and other choking hazards will be disappeared (I’ll eat the peanut m&ms myself for sure). I suspect I will also abscond with a few 3 musketeers and butterfingers as I definitely felt an acquisitive urge when she picked those out last night…

York Peppermint Patties, Almond Joy, and Butterfinger (all candy my kids don’t like!)
