Here's what progressives don't really seem to grasp. Although it's very "impolite" for politicians and national leaders to deny that nukes are a "no-no," in actuality, nukes are a very big "yes-yes" and always have been. The Pentagon is full of scenarios in which we use nukes. Nukes are a core part of our national defense and deterrence scheme. That's why we have MORE OF THEM then the entire rest of the world, combined!

You may not want it, you may not like it, it may scare you--but the central core of our national defense policy has been our nuclear arsenal.

The brilliance (crazyness?) of North Korea is to openly decide to develop their own nuclear capability to try to "even the scales" and basically dare us to stop them. We have lots of nukes, they probably only have a few. But a few is enough for N. Korea to accomplish what it wants--which is to deter the United States. It seems to be working.

PP - I hope you were able to catch the press briefing today where Chief of Staff Kelly answered questions from the media.
It would be enlightening to you, and other liberals, who believe that Kelly is frustrated, hates his job, and has these secret plans.
In a nutshell, he isn’t planning on quitting, doesn’t plan on being fired, and expressed his frustration with the press - particularly the things that are written about him and POTUS that he knows are totally wrong. His advice to the press - “Get better sources.”
And, in several instances, he expressed to the media which kind of “face” he was making - certainly in reference to the press articles that say he is frustrated when photographed.
It would be a good way to spend a half hour of time.

Exactly. The reasoning that they want to pass the tax plan first is nonsense. With Pence as President it will be much easier to pass legislation. They will be get so much more done, more of the Republican agenda, much more "winning". So what is the real hesitation??
