+1 Married an Army soldier who became a federal agent 15 years later. I make 3x what he does. He loves his job and I love mine, so that's one less issue we have to deal with in our marriage. I'd rather have a happy husband than one who dreads his day to day life.

Maybe if you could spell "their" right, you'd be making more?

Women aren't necessary "selling their lives" for a man's income. I make a lot because I'm smart and well educated. I want a man who can keep up with me intellectually, challenge me, and engage with me. Since I run in high-income circles (co-workers, undergrad, grad, etc.), that's sort of my de facto wheel house socially. Nothing to be depressed about...


We all want. Men want a pretty woman. Most women want a guy with money. What can you actually make happen?

As I read this thread, finding it quite depressing that in this day and age, so many women are basically selling there lives for a guy's high income.
