absolutely fair. I don't understand why females are always the one that do SAH. But of the drop offs at our elementary school, 95% are women. It is like if you have a vagina you automatically qualify to not work and stay at home.

Jesus and 80% of these posts are women saying they do SAH. Why do women take low paying jobs? Because they don't want to work and want to live of their DHs income.

I always stay home when my child is sick but I'm not working. He stays home when I'm sick.

Does your company have backup childcare? Mine will send a nanny to my house for $10/hr on a moment notice (even for a sick kid) and let you WFH. Problem solved.

I make twice as much as DH and I take all the sick days with the kids. Many times the better job comes with more flexibility to take off when you need to.
I do think sick kids that young often tend to only want mommy unfortunately...

He has some form of leave, right? Let him use it half the time.

Did you mean "he makes more, moron"? Or did you mean that he literally makes more moron?

Nope, not fair. Every time you stay home you are permanently lowering your salary potential for the rest of your life.
