The title of this thread is just gross.

I think the ideal guys are the never married between the ages of 26-32. They've gotten their careers going, sowed their wild outs and are beginning to really think about their futures.

My experience is the the people that peak early marry early/pair off early.

In general, the people that exude confidence early are people whose primary skill is exuding confidence. AKA BS. In the 20's they tend to gravitate to jobs where skills do not grow over time (mostly sales). A good salesman can make a lot of money quickly. But, they can flame out just as quickly.

On the other hand, the people who are nerdier (for lack of a better word), well, they spend there live increasing the value. Sure, they might not make you weak in the knees at 25, but at 40, they are working hard, making good money, coming home at night, and coaching the kids in soccer.

I wasn't 25, but by 29 I had a wife, a house, two cars, a dog, and a PhD. Did it without any family money. At the time I felt like a slacker.

Well, none of my friends who got married at 23-24 right out of college seem happy. You're SO different after just a few years. I, for one, am thrilled I didn't get married that early. I had no idea what I wanted long-term and no time to be young and free out in the world. I'm sure it works for some, but just my two cents.

Guys in their 20s who are that full of confidence are usually full of shit. They think they know everything, and they are so, so wrong.

Nothing about this guy sounds all that impressive. And you have no idea if he is a good husband or father, if he's faithful, if he's ever dealt with any kind of adversity. You don't know if he works hard, or if he got his job because his family is wealthy and connected but he's never really had to do anything on his own merits. He's good-looking and full of himself, and he got married right out of college. If he's your idea of "the best guy," then i feel sorry for you.

I see no evidence that he is a good catch. Seems like the frat boy who exudes confidence....but really has no skills. He is selling investment products. There is no way to go up in that field. The really good people in financial services start as analysts...They are the ones that develop the models and are the ones making the big bucks.

People that go barhopping with newborns at home are players.
