You're right. I was born in 1964 and my mom was 21, dad was 22. That was a pretty normal set of ages for their peer set.

Dad was 32, Mom was 25 when my brother was born in 1958
Dad was 34, Mom was 28 when my sister was born in 1960
Dad was 39, Mom was 32 when I was born in 1965
My parents were considered to be late parents back then for all three of us, but especially me. So first PP's parents were really considered old (many back then probably thought too old) for children. I know that I'm glad that my parents disdained conventional wisdom and had me, so I would guess so is first PP.
