Born in 69. Mom just turned 19 and dad 21. Yes, shotgun wedding. Divorced when I was 7 and brother was 3.

You're right. I was born in 1964 and my mom was 21, dad was 22. That was a pretty normal set of ages for their peer set.

My parents were considered to be late parents back then for all three of us, but especially me. So first PP's parents were really considered old (many back then probably thought too old) for children. I know that I'm glad that my parents disdained conventional wisdom and had me, so I would guess so is first PP.

Born in 1971. Mom was 25. Dad was 32. I am the oldest. My youngest sibling was born when my mom was 29 and My dad was 36.

Mom was 19, Dad was 20. They were never married, never in a serious relationship. Had my first at 34, now pregnant with second at 38. DH is 36.

Parents were 30 and 33 when they had their first child in 1963 -- very old for the times. I was born in 1966. They are still happily married.

You were born in 1960 it's not that crazy you would have a grandparent born in the 1800's especially if your father had more than one sibling and your grandad had more than one wife.

Mom was 25 and Dad was 30; I was their first. My maternal grandmother was only 43 when I was born. When I'm 43, I'll have a three year old. :-O

Mom was 37 dad 42, I was born in 1980 an oops baby and their only child together (dad had older children from a first marriage). I definitely had the oldest parents amongst my friends and hated it growing up.

My grandfather (yes, grandfather) was born in 1868! He was 62 years old when my dad was born. My dad was 30 when I was born.

Both parents were 24 and I was born in 1985.

I was born in 1983 and my parents were 27 (mom) and 29 (dad).

My parents married at 19 (mom) and 20 (dad) but weren't able to have children, so adopted their first child at 30 and 31. I was the youngest - they adopted me at 40 and 41. But technically my brother was their last adoption - he's older, but they had him as a foster child first (placed about a year before I came along) and his adoption took almost 2 years.

Well, seeing as I was told many many many times how I ruined my mother's life, I don't think I'm projecting. "If you hadn't been born, I would have finished college and I wouldn't be stuck at this shitty job!" "I had big plans, but then I got pregnant with you and was stuck." "If I had known you'd be such a little botch all the time I would have never gotten pregnant!" That's rough enough to hear when you're an adult. I heard that stuff regularly before I was 10 years old.

That has zero to do with your mom's age, I doubt she would have been a better human/ mother/ whatever in her 30s. Hope you have peace from all that mess now.

I will add that I was 32 and 34 when I had mine- I was the youngest in my family. My older grandfather was born in 1888- so it has been a family tradition to marry and have children later in life.
