I have an ongoing quibble with the casting in terms of the actors' ages. Colbie Smulders and the actress who plays Marianne look (and probably are) 5-10 years younger than the actress who plays Sam (who is beautiful but looks like she's in her 40's). The characters are supposed to be in their early 40's (although I think Colbie Smulders's character is supposed to be 2 or 3 years younger)-the male actors and the actress who plays Sam look that age but Colbie and the actress who plays Marianne look significantly younger.
Another thing I think is odd is that the actor who plays Nick (Nat Faxon) has crooked teeth. Nick is supposed to be a trust fund baby-there is no way that someone that wealthy would have teeth like that. It's not a reflection on Nat Faxon-I think he's a good actor and that he does a great job with the part-it just doesn't make sense in terms of the character.
This is SO distracting to me.

She uses the money from the big law job to pay for IVF. She was a civil attorney for the ACLU before which doesn't pay big bucks.
