Nope. If anything, with men I really like, I am more cautious sexually because I don't want them to think ill of me and also I know I have more feelings for them so sleeping with them and getting dumped would be more difficult to deal with

She might not have herpes but if you go to the Health and Medicine forum here you will see that there is a whole host of other possible female issues that could cause her to wait awhile to invite a guy to visit that part of her body. Like, maybe she's waiting for her Thrombosed Hemmorhoid to burst? Or her Bartholin's Cyst/Abcess to resolve? She could have an Ingrown Hair on her Bikini Line or maybe even had her Vaj Rejuvenated!

All of these conditions, and others, could give a lady pause when it comes to welcoming a new sex partner.

OP, I've been the female in this situation a few times.

I have slept with guys on the first date, but it's rare. I have waited months to sleep with someone but that's rare too. Typically I'm having sex somewhere after about a month of twice-a-week dates so I feel like I know the person and it's going somewhere real. I've had enough sex in my life that I don't see the point of meaningless hookups.

A few questions for you:
1 - are you sure she's "into" you and not using you for some reason? is she definitely exclusive with you?
2 - is she attracted to you? Sometimes I've waited because i wasn't all that attracted to the guy, and unfortunately that didn't change over time.
3 - are you "available" to her? I've held off with a couple of guys because I felt like they were distant and not really into me and I figured, "why sleep with someone who is 'meh' on me?"

If the answers to these questions are yes, try to hang in there. Delayed gratification can make for amazing sex later on. (I eventually slept with a guy from scenario 3 and it was f*cking fantastic. And I was even more hurt when it still didn't work out afterward, but oh well.)
