As a white woman I'm not as worried about the paranoid racists as much as the paranoid nut jobs who want to shoot up a school or movie theater or whatever. But basically crazy white dudes with guns scare me.
These nuts make up a tiny amount of homicides in the US, so lots of other stuff to be concerned about.
But there is a small segment of our population responsible for approx 5,000 homicides a year, and they aren't crazy white dudes.
Exactly. Just look at the Obama hometown of Chicago. Is ain't the white boys shooting up the city.

Maybe if I lived in South Side Chicago I'd be worried about violence from black men. But I live in Virginia, home of white male gun nuts.
