We have 2006 with 130k miles. I often ask myself why we have not gotten rid of it. However, there is nothing wrong with it. Mechanic says it is in good condition. And no one is really driving anywhere since we are still WAH. So a new car would just sit and be driven very little just like this one is doing.

Chevy Suburban, launched in 1933 - 83 years old
The automobile may have been born in Europe, but the oldest car nameplate still in production is American. The Chevrolet Suburban first went on sale in 1933 as a commercial vehicle. Today, it is a beast of an SUV with eight seats and a V8 engine.

So most cars like Honda Pilot are new models so to speak ai really can’t say how long they will last

At 200k+ miles I don't venture too far from home in my Toyota. It does ok, but I don't take it on 95 or any place more than 30 minutes from my house / mechanic.

I have a 2009 Pilot EX with a little over 200k on it. Replaced the timing belt recently. I love the interior.

1999 Honda Accord. 298k miles. RIP 2016. Still running but oil leaks and pretty ugly.

2005 Odyssey 175K. Still runs ok. Some work needed and eats oil. 2 major issues.

2015 Chevy Equinox. Stalling due to failed Camshaft 2017. Left me stranded. ?

Haha
1 It is funny this thread was brought back to life. Update: 2005 Odyssey finally died a few weeks ago. It just literally died. No spark of life at 345K miles. I inherited a 2004 Accord that has 123k miles. It outlasted my brother who passed at 30. The Equinox gave me more engine trouble this past Spring and cost me $1,000. We are fine with 2 cars for now and when Covid blows over and we go back to driving, we will get a Pilot.

My 2005 Honda Pilot had 216,000 miles on it when I was hit by a car two weeks ago. Still drivable I gave it to a man from Africa and it still runs like a top for him with a long scrape on the driver's side. Of course I am getting a new Pilot!!!

Honda is one of the longest last CARS. However, American made pick-up trucks last far longer. There are several on the road with over one million miles on odometer. Including a 2006 Chevy Pickup trick used to haul RVs cross country closing in on two million miles.

May be the pick up tricks are simpler, easier to fix, cheaper parts and built tough. My Gardner has a 2005 pickup one of his 23 trucks he bought brand new and does lawn service and snow plowing. 2000 does not sound old but that is 20 years of hard labor.

I would never do want to drive a pick up as primary car. But 250,000 is just breaking in a Chevy pick up

2005 Pilot and just about to hit 100,000 miles.

However, it's not in the best shape. The tire sensors are fried and the axles need some work. Also just lost a light on part of AC control panel.

I guess, we got the anti-unicorn of Pilots. We had to replace the entire engine when it overheated on a road trip 5 years ago and basically melted the engine. The engine was replace from another Pilot and haven't had an engine problem since.

It didn't make me feel any better when the tow truck driver kept shaking his head and saying, "Man, I never have to tow these things away."

The engine replacement was about $8,000, by the way.
