I agree with this. I'm 62, retired and inherited good genes so I look a feel 5 to 10 years younger. I had no problem attracting women in their late 30's but once my daughters hit 30 I began to feel creepy especially after one of my daughters slightly older friends wanted to start a relationship. 45-55 is a much better age range.

And here is an example of why OP wrote in in the first place. "I'm not terribly interested in dating, but I'm occasionally bored, so I want you to waste time on me anyways." OP's question was where are the women who actually are interested in, whose time in not too precious for, a non-prince.

However...you'd have to knock on my door to find me during my off time, and even then I probably wouldn't answer it, especially if it was nap time, which is often.

Also, you'd have to want to watch The Crown or Dateline, watch me read a book, want to eat a salad and a Lean Cuisine, or tolerate me being online on my computer for hours at a time.

To the OP- As a widowed woman, you are more likely to meet me or another age-appropriate traditional-type woman in in a class/ library/ meet up group/Starbucks/Panera/painting class at a local bar event or maybe a hiking club or at a dog park. There would be less of a probability that a 50+ traditional woman would be at a rock-climbing wall or more extreme sporting event. And a traditional woman is NOT going to sleep with you the first few dates

Well hell, rock climbers won't be fat, and if they're less traditional than this gal, El Capitan here I come.

In high school I was also on the Junior varsity basketball team & we got the left -over boys' uniforms, boys got new ones, no girls were ALLOWED to play on the boys' team, because there was a female team.
I was also on the cross-country team, Sophomore through Senior year & again females only competed against females. There was no way in 1979 that any high schools in New York had a co-ed ice hockey team, so I highly doubt they existed anywhere else in US.

And in middle class neighborhoods, boys (and men) did "outside" work and women "inside work". No woman would be caught dead cutting the grass, trimming bushes etc. if she had a husband or money to pay someone. TOTALLY DIFFERENT NOW
