Only once did a cop catch a driver after a road rage incident, the cop pulled me over as a witness and said he was charging her with reckless driving. She looked pretty crazed like she was on something. We made eye contact as I drove away, it scared me. There are a lot of crazy stressed out people on our roads.
I just drive the speed limit and I don't mess with anyone acting crazy behind the wheel.

I was standing outside a Starbucks. A woman 'parked' her large SVU outside the Starbucks, but it was really in the road to exit the shopping center (very small, narrow street so no one really could get by). She seemed to be waiting on someone in the store. After about three/four minutes (and some honking by those behind her), her kids ran out of the store. I assumed she would leave. BUT at that point, another child in the car got out and RAN BACK IN THE STORE. The line behind her is building and an (uninvolved) man on the sidewalk begins to yell at her 'there are people behind you!!! But whatever, just fucking sit there'. She ignores him. Cars start pulling around her into the 'entry' lane (dangerous because cars are whipping around the corner to enter the shopping center). People were going CRAZY honking and screaming at her. What an asshole.
TLDR: woman treated a regular road like a parking lane and sat her ass there for way too long.

I feel like everyone is a ticking time bomb nowadays.Anonymous wrote:He was out of line but you sound like you're partiality to blame. You say you "managed" to get in front of him to take an exit. Did you wait until the last minute and cut in front of a long line of cars patiently waiting? Did you cut him off? You did something that set him off. Also, why not switch lanes and slow down to let him get in front of you so you could disengage?

Are you seriously justifying road rage behavior? I hope you're teaching your kids better.![]()
No, see the first five words.
OP here. So what would you do in this situation if I got in front of you? I was obviously unfamiliar with the area and trying to follow Waze's directions home. I had kids in the car. I was not driving aggressively and had my blinker on. So sorry, I don't agree with you on this one and hope I don't encounter you on the road.
You should acknowledge that it was your mistake and keep going make the next available u turn and try again. Not cut off someone who did not contribute to your mistake. That's selfish.
I agree if the person actually cuts someone off. However, I did not cut anyone off. There was an opening to slip in and I had my blinker on. As soon as I put my blinker on, the guy tried to speed forward to prevent me from getting in, but I got in before he could do so. That is a lot different than cutting someone off. The other guy was driving aggressively....and obviously was a nutcase to boot.

She left the bus to get out and scream at the driver in front of me. I had no idea what was going on just came upon it. We were at a red light waiting in a triple left turn lane (on to Constitution from 19th). I was totally boxed in by traffic. When the light changed we all started going and the bus decided to make a very tight turn taking out MY car and the car behind me while trying to hit the car she was fighting with in front of me. She again got out and then started pounding my my car and kicking it. Thankfully we were in rush hour traffic because a few men got out and restrained her while the police came. It was very scary and bizzare. I still google her to see if she pops up working anywhere.
Probably still at metro earning 6 figures

+1
I've had Metrobus drivers scream at me for legally crossing the street on a green light as well as for standing 3 feet from the curb when they tried to make an awkward, wide right turn ("too close" for them and it was my fault because I was wearing one earbud). SMDH.
Anonymous wrote:I learned to drive in downtown Boston. I mean like Fenway and Mass Ave Boston. So there you yell and honk and cut people off but I was never followed and I was never scared. Here, in just a few months of living in Nova I have been followed twice/aggressively tailgates. I didn't even cut people off. One time I was driving the speed limit and the other time I didn't move fast enough when the light turned. It wasn't even during rush hour.
