She sent a farewell letter that did not indicate a resignation. It was not an elective departure.
The achievement gap at Stuart-Hobson is atrocious. Jefferson does better with its low income/African-American students than SH does, and has a lot more poverty and kids coming in way behind than SH. I bet that was part of DCPS' decision to let her go.
