Even the stodgy Lands End catalog had a cold shoulder top listed. I guess it's still here to stay for this season.

I can't stand cold shoulder tops! I think they make people look trashy and I agree that no one over 24 should wear them. And when women that shouldn't wear them do, it makes me cringe.

Glad I'm not the only one. I despise this trend, it looks good on very few people, and am proud to say I have never once worn a cold shoulder garment.

I feel the same about shoeties- open toes wreck a perfectly good bootie- and about backless heels- looks cheap.

Backless heels as in slingbacks, which have been around since the 1930s at least?

Keep hoping winter will kill this trend. Every cute blouse I pull off the rack has these extra holes in it!

Let's not use the word trashy. Tacky will do just fine. It is awful on any age.

Fashion jumped the shark a while ago. Not sure when sanity will return.

My 7 year old said it best "why are there holes in this dress"

It's a horrible look. Popular strippers and tweens.

Make women look cheap -- not professional at all. I don't understand why this fad has lasted this long.

Thank you. My coworker wore a cold shoulder top to the office last week and I felt like I was about to die of my own fashion judginess.
