I do believe the left has suddenly decided "slut shaming" is perfectly acceptable. As long as the subject is a conservative, of course.
Carry on, hypocrites!
You're the one calling her a slut.
not either PP but . . . You don't have to call someone a slut to slut shame someone. The disparaging comments on this thread are indeed in reference to her outfit. Whether it's a nightgown or a negligee or some "house dress," there's no need to call her out on it.
It's hard to undo stupid, eh, PP?

I love it!
This isn't about women's roles and society and how we're belittled on a daily basis; it's about a battle between Conservatives and Liberals.
I didn't vote for either candidate this time around, as neither appealed to me. However, while Hillary wasn't my first choice as a Democratic candidate, I defended her. I may not have liked her classic pantsuit style, but it was HER style. And underneath that suit was an intellectual.
I'll do the same for Ivanka. I didn't vote for her father, but this woman has done nothing wrong. Yet Libs are up in arms simply bc she's Trump's daughter- and now b/c she's wearing a somewhat revealing outfit.
And by your tone, PP, I am fairly confident that you're playing the same game - that it's OK to slam Ivanka b/c poor Michelle was scrutinized for baring her arms.
So . . . you're no better!

Stop normalizing this bizarre behavior. You have never seen a friend or relative or even a celebrity (aside from a Kardashian) post a family picture in a black silk negligee. It's weird. It's not appropriate for social media.
“Alluring nightie?” Hardly.
This is more revealing than Ivanka’s picture.

And Beyonce is a great role model for the Obama girls. I think we know who the true hypocrites are.

But why not? She represents America as First Lady-by-default and conservatives sure had a field day with Michelle in her lovely official portrait. You want hypocrisy, there it is.

I'm Liberal and I do think her attire is inappropriate and too slutty for an Orthodox Jew or a conservative woman (politics aside) in general. But I'm honestly struggling to find out why this is hypocrisy?? What Democratic leading lady has been accused of wearing highly inappropriate attire in public? I'm not even touching Melania's mini-skirt.
Well, let's see. Do you have a daughter? Are you one of those mothers who tells her daughter she can wear whatever she wants, no matter how revealing, because "girl power"? If so, and you are criticizing Ivanka and/or Melania Trump for their clothing choices, then you are a hypocrite. Pretty simple.
You're barking up the wrong tree lady. Where I grew up women didn't just wear anything. They wore appropriate attire that represented their family and their community well. I believe in girls being able to take on any career and any position...that I believe is girl power. Not dressing in nothing.
I grew up the same way. But it's undeniable that many DCUM regulars feel girls and women should be able to appear in public wearing whatever they choose, no matter how inappropriate. So my question, above, is directed to them. Obviously.
Goodness, you are a moron, pp.
You are conflating unrelated issues and trying to make a point...but you are failing miserably.
Here's what "us" liberals believe: we firmly believe that a woman should be able to wear whatever she wants in public (however tacky or innapropriats for the occasion) without provoking rape. Because, you know, men shouldn't be allowed to blame a woman's outfit for his violent attack. If you can't understand this---or if you disagree---then you are crazy.
And none of this has anything to do with Ivanka's innapropriate post on social media.
