Then WHY WHY was Trump so damn insistent on Romney releasing his? You *really* can't see how hypocritical he is? Gawd, you are sooo blind!

Says the moron who voted for the guy who has already done and will continue to do all of these things. You worried so much about the pickpocket that you elected Bernie Madoff.
NP. Why is it moronic? Because name calling is the only way you can sustain a dialogue?
People voted for Trump, because these issues were irrelevant to them. Trump or HRC, there would be issues of wealth, corruption, and justice for some. Why not focus on something that's different about these candidates? Sounds fairly rational to me.

3 million more voters voted for Clinton and even more voted against Trump when you count the third party candidates. I would wager most of those voters do care about his tax returns and since they represent the plurality of voters they should be heard. He owes it to the majority of the American public for whom this is not an irrelevant subject.
No, he does not. He calculated that he had a shot without disclosing the returns, and he was correct.

As has been stated many times the amount of information regarding his net worth, his debts, etc is not something that a tax return provides.
Inasmuch as he was elected despite not disclosing the tax returns it means it was not sufficiently important to the voters.
If he cheated on his taxes, the audits will surface it. End of story.
Audits won't surface now, because he will kill it on Jan 20th.
The lack of transparancy and the acceptance of same on the part of the Trump supporters is at best hypocricy at its best and at worst is eerily malevelant. It is truly shameful to see this kind of justification after the calls regarding Clinton's emails and Foundation dealings. Funny the email issue is now completely dead as the FBI had nothing. And yet, what we already know about Trump borders on treason and will violate the Constitution on day one.
+1 And to add, Trump was insistent on Romney releasing his returns, and Romney, too was a businessman. To me, it's not just about the returns, but his hypocrisy and thinking that he doesn't have to do what others have done before him, even though he himself called on Romney to release them.
But then again, this isn't the only thing he is hypocritical about. Sadly, Trumpsters don't seem to care about his many hypocrisies. He's insulting his supporters and don't they don't even realize it. Big dummies.
Good point on the hypocrisy - I had forgotten about that. But the double standard is galling. Everyone knew that HRC had been releasing her returns for close to 40 years straight, but for the other guy, it just didn't matter all of a sudden.
Releasing her tax returns did not prevent HRC from undermining the FOIA, spilling classified information, profiteering from the sale of uranium, etc. The tax returns are a distraction, like when a pickpocket bumps into you.

The fact that you believe does not make it so.
