WHY IS HE SO WORTHLESS?!?!?!
How about increasing fines and points for school zone traffic violations, Charles? I get it's largely symbolic because MPD and DDOT don't prioritize pedestrian or cyclist safety but there needs to be a well-publicized crackdown.

Truth. I am a very very cautious pedestrian and I have had way too many close calls with Maryland commuters ripping through the Hill.
So true. G st, C st, Constitution, Maryland Avenue, where commuters have punched pedestrians who were in their way. It is an absolute nightmare. It is unbelievable.

The poorly timed lights in this part of Capitol Hill actually force you to j-walk. Some of them are so short that you cannot get across unless you walk very fast or even run. For people with any kind of disability, kids in tow, or elderly - they physically can't get across. So, you're better off jay walking when you can see that there are no cars coming, then launching yourself into traffic with a green light that will only last 3 seconds.
How would poorly times lights force one to J-walk?
because it changes red when you are in the middle of the intersection so you're better off just jaywalking when it looks safe.
